Razor Sharp is a meme based around the song of the same name by Danish-Norwegian duo Pegboard Nerds and Canadian artist Tristam.

Origin

In May of 2013, Canadian electronic label Monstercat released the track Razor Sharp as one of the tracks from the thirteenth album Awakening. The track currently sits at over 22 million views with over 284 thousand likes.

Starting in April of 2015, animator NeonWolfArtist uploaded a video to YouTube that depicted a dog character doing various poses in time with the song, with the background shifting at certain intervals. The video sits at over 86 thousand views as of 2017.

Spread

Soon after NeonWolfArtist's video, many other animators went on to create similar videos with their own characters. Certain animators tend to get creative and experiment different poses on their characters.
