About

Ric Flair "Go To Bed" Remixes are YouTube Poop videos that feature footage of Ric Flair repeatedly yelling "Go to Bed!" as he points a finger at the screen, often synced in time to various songs.

Origin

On July 18th, 1993, WCW held it's second annual Beach Blast Pay-Per-View event, in which Ric Flair won his 10th World Heavyweight title. After the match he was interviewed, wherein he uttered the following words:

"Read what you wanna read, believe what you wanna believe, but GO TO BED every night of your life, knowing there's only one world heavyweight champion today, and it's the Nature Boy!"

This interview was uploaded to YouTube on October 27th, 2008 by user Merriman24:

The video has since been blocked by WWE on copyright grounds, but you can still view the interview on WWE's official channel here:

Spread

This interview footage wasn't used until 2011 when YouTube users OmnisTV and sadsadsfdsfdsfful decided to have a YTPMV soccer using the clip in various remixes.

The first one was posted by OmnisTV on December 21st, 2011, titled "TCP Goes to Bed."

They went back and forth over a week or two, but the most popular of these videos ended up being one of sadsadsfdsfdsfful's remixes, which was posted a few days later on December 26th, 2011 titled "YOU should GO TO BED," which garnered over 15,000 views (shown below).

The popularity of this video prompted more users to start creating their own "go to bed" remixes, most of which were created in 2012 & 2013, but it still remains a popular source for YouTube remix videos. The most popular was posted by Rabies Bun on April 28th, 2013, who paired the promo with Super Mario 64 music. The video gained over 108,000 views (shown below).

The remixes have been compiled in playlists by Brewtality[1] and Zekrome.[2]
