“Ahah, Short Girl” refers to an instant message containing a clipart of a orange-colored cylinder that was thrown into photoshop in order to have a color inversion applied to it. Shortly after it was saved, Know Your Meme user "The JustGreat Minty Meeo" created an entry on Know Your Meme in order to shitpost.

Origin

On April 1st, 2016, The JustGreat Minty Meeo realized that April fools day had snuck up on him, leaving him with no joke entries to submit to Know Your Meme. Then, he remembered the ironic meme called long boy. With his shoddy Photoshop skills, he quickly made a color inversion of long boy, and titled it "short girl" Shortly after, he remarked this quote.

Oh god what have I done. It's 2AM why am I still awake?

Within a few hours, the entry got deadpooled, so The JustGreat Minty Meeo decided he'd acually try to make a good entry.

It is believed that the edits were not originally meant to be meta content, but after the sequal quadrilogy of images was finished, a moral that not all memes need to be edgy was formed.
