After a post from the Facebook page Nigel Thornberry's Ghost saying "What do we call people like us? That use memes? That make jokes about everything? That spend a lot of time on the internet in search of lulz? Trolls? What do you think we should be called forum?" One of the fans commented, "Basers. Since memes seem to come from Memebase any more, I suppose the word "baser" would be a good word." the admin of the op page ignored the description completely and just went with the word. Another well known page commented and insisted that they try to force the name, and proceeded to make a picture to be shared around the community. It read: If you use memes, make jokes about everything, or spend a lot of time on the internet in search of lulz you are not a troll. You are a baser? Got that. The two page admins, op and picture maker, began to mass share it by going to all the well know pages and posting a link. They got substantial revenue until another admin caught word and posted saying "If you're going to called Basers, I'm going to call you masterbasers." This almost immediately killed the idea. Everyone who had supported before turned around and raged, saying what a terrible idea it was, and how they were fail trolls just trying to copy another admin who had tried to force a meme earlier that day. They gave up almost immediately thanks to all the raging going on. It's still circulating though, even though it's almost already forgotten.
