A computer virus is a coded program designed by experienced writers to get a gag out of the people who are gullible enough to get the virus installed. The virus will remove important computer files like C:\Windows\system32 or it's contents. For example, YouAreAnIdiot.org will display a flashing background along with a still set of pictures and a text marked as "YOU ARE AN IDIOT." Or the first computer virus: Creeper. The Creeper virus will display a window saying: "I'm the Creeper! Catch me if you can!" Later on, the original creator of Creeper wrote Reaper to delete it.
Some notable examples of vdiruses include: Brontok, OneHalf, and Happy99 along with the Wabbit (Rabbit) virus.
Computer viruses had a major influence on the internet, leading to stuff like AGK or tutorials on how to make fake PC viruses like .vbs or.bat. They also led to .bat codes, such as MS DOS emulators.
What will come in the future? We don't know…but it will be the next KnowYourMeme submission you'll see today.
