Marvel sold off all their "good" movie rights back in the day, and that included the X-Men, who were sold to Fox. Well.. It's complicated. Wendy's Sir, this is a Wendy's. Then Marvel launched Marvel Studios with D-list characters like that loser Iron Man. So Marvel slowly and steadily reduced the prominence of the X-Men while promoting lesser franchises like The Inhumans -- can you believe that?! -- in an attempt to make people stop caring about the X-Men. All the while, Marvel's management lied through their teeth to deny this was happening. But now Disney owns both Marvel and Fox, so the X-Men are back home where they belong and all is right inthe'world the fact that consolidetion entertainment business ensures that a select few gigantic conglomerates control the intellectual property rights of everything to ever exist, in perpetuity. But I'm sure that will be fine. for in the As Marvel Studios succeeded, Ike Perlmutter became very butthurt that Fox owned the X-Men rights.

*sigh* Do you ever wonder WHY I consider the Avengers my greatest foes of this age and never you X-Men? Or involve myself in the affairs of 'H--- Superior? Because in EVERY future? You lose. You are all GONE. Because you are MUTANTS in the truest sense of the word, you are not and never have been a part of human evolution. When you eventually get your wish of complete segregation from humans and begin to breed with each other exclusively? Your 'race' will continue to mutate into forms you cannot fathom. Your grandchildren will be so convinced of their genetic manifestị destiny that they will not only attempt to eradicate h--- sapiens but also ANY mutant that LOOKS more sapien than superior. Most of you surviving X-Men are murdered in your elder years by Mutantinels, Sentinels designed by young mutants to slaughter old mutants for looking 'too human'. When your race is purified and the humans conquered you'll continue to propagate and mutate into aberrations that would make a Celestial vomit and then you'll realize too late that you've evolved yourselves into sterility & genetic cessation.
