Karol Jesús Lucero Venegas, also known as "Karol Dance" is a television presenter of Chilean origin, who has developed his television career based on scandals and controversies in his early years. Since 2019 he is the main victim of Chilean memes related to the culture of cancellation (called in Chile as "funas"), being mentioned as degenerate since in his first programs he became famous for kissing many women, and sexualizing girls under 18 years.

Origin

In 2019 a Facebook page was created called "We demand Perpetual Chain for Karol Dance", which belonged to a series of pages with the same content, but with different famous Chileans. The television entertainer saw the page that alluded to his person and successfully ordered to remove it from the social network, which made administrators very angry. So much was the conflict, that they decided to create a second page called "We demand Double Perpetual Chain for Karol Dance", which, unlike its predecessor, had a greater impact on social networks.

Chilean Social Outbreak of 2019

Along with the social outbreak of October 18, 2019, various people took advantage of the media coverage to launch comments against Karol Lucero, who never realized that it was all a meme. Much of the slogans that were released on TV were accompanied by the phrase "Suck it, Karol Dance!", Which would become a habit with the passing of days. As a consequence of the constant "accusations-jokes" that the entertainer received, he was fired from the television channel where he worked, as well as from his radio program.
