Swagdog697, also known as the Synthesizer Dog and Keyboard Dog, refers to viral videos of a dachshund wearing a fedora and a blue shirt "playing" an electronic keyboard on a building rooftop as various music plays. Uploaded to the TikTok account @swagdog697 in late 2022, the videos of the wiener dog went viral on TikTok and other social media in the following months and are typically used as a source material for video caption memes.
Origin
On November 11th, 2022, the TikTok[1] account @swagdog697 uploaded a clip of a dachshund dog wearing a blue T-shirt and a brown fedora "playing" synthesizer on a rooftop, accompanied by the track "Glasshouse" by Violet Foxx. The video (shown below) received over 70,500 views and 3,500 likes in two months.

Spread
In the following months, the account uploaded multiple clips of the dog playing the synthesizer set to various songs, with several videos going viral on the app. For example, on November 19th, 2022, @swagdog697 uploaded[2] a clip of the dog set to "Drugs From Amsterdam" by Mau P, which gained over 11.8 million views and 1.4 million likes in two months (shown below, left). On December 5th, the account[3] posted a version set to "The Bad Touch" by Bloodhound Gang that received over 2.2 million views and 166,000 likes in one month (shown below, right).

On January 9th, 2023, Twitter[4] user @behaveirene___ posted a clip of the dog set to "Better Off Alone" by Alice DJ, which gained over 842,000 views, 700 retweets and 4,600 likes in one day.
This prompted the use of the clip in video captions on Twitter[5] in the following days. For example, on January 9th, Twitter user @ErnestWilkins posted a This Edible Ain't Shit meme that received over 5,100 retweets and 34,300 likes in one day (shown below).
