Thank You So Much, Very Very Nice, I Love You refers to a TikTok sound of a Malian woman singing, "Thank you so much! Very, very nice! I love you! Very, very nice! I thank you. I like you. I thank you. I like you…" When she says "nice" she pronounces it without the letter C, like "nie." The woman in the video was reportedly named Maraka Didja, a Malian singer. Her TikTok sound went viral in late 2024. Meme creators and TikTokers lip dubbed the sound and used it for imagined scenarios in which their African mom or aunt was thanking them.
Origin
On September 27th, 2024, TikToker[1] @rediflivedouma posted a screen-recording of a TikTok LIVE purportedly hosted by Malian singer Maraka Didja.[2][3] In the recording, Didja sings, "Thank you so much! Very, very nice. I love you…" When she says "nice" she pronounces it without the letter C, like "nie." Over two months, the video amassed over 2.3 million plays and 169,600 likes (shown below).

The video spawned a TikTok sound[4] that was used by other creators going into late 2024. For instance, an early and viral example was shared by TikToker[5] @baby_saga on October 5th, 2024, showing himself with a text caption reading, "When you buy her a matching lululemon set," gaining over 280,100 plays and 47,600 likes in a month (shown below).

On October 7th, TikToker[6] @dougingu posted a video with the sound, adding a POV caption that read, "POV: aunty going thru all the 500 photos I just took of her," receiving over 1.3 million plays and 223,700 likes in a month (shown below).

Viral videos using the sound continued in the following weeks. For instance, on October 9th, 2024, TikToker[7] @imadja_ posted an iteration with a caption reading, "Aunty after I take a photo of her with a Snapchat filter that makes her 10x lighter," receiving over 5.6 million plays and 869,500 likes in a month (shown below).
