RaptureTok or September 23rd, 2025, TikTok Rapture refers to a series of TikToks that gained virality in August and September 2025 after a number of Christian TikTokers began warning their followers about what they believe is an impending Christian Rapture, during which God will take his true believers into heaven before the Earth plunges into the apocalypse. These TikTokers shared videos preaching about the various signs and signals they had supposedly identified that hinted at the Rapture being on September 23rd or 24th, 2025, and shared advice to fellow Christians about how to prepare for it. Other TikTokers posted videos about how they were caring for family members that won't be chosen during the Rapture by canning food and leaving them survival books. The rise in posts part of the hashtag "#RaptureTok" prompted other TikTokers to post memes and jokes about the supposed event, with parody posts giving destructive or comical "Rapture tips" to believers.

On August 8th, 2025, TikToker^[1] @angelamcgirk posted a video about how her husband doesn't know, but she has been fighting a "battle for him," and preparing canned foods and survival gear for when he gets "left behind" during the Rapture. The video gathered over 90,000 plays and 4,000 likes in two months.

On August 22nd, 2025, TikToker^[2] @legacypays posted a video saying that she had been contacted by a "young lady" who shared her husband's dream warning about the Rapture occurring in September 2025. The video gathered over 80,000 plays and 3,000 likes in one month.

On September 1st, 2025, TikToker^[4] @sonj779 posted part five of her "Rapture Trip Tips," advising people not to hold on to anything when they finally start moving "up into the air" in the event that they are chosen by God during the Rapture. The video gathered over 400,000 plays and 11,000 likes in three weeks.

On September 19th, TikToker^[3] @legacypays posted a video saying, "Six days, almost five days, to Rapture time." The video gathered over 200,000 plays and 4,000 likes in five days.

Several internet users reacted to "#RaptureTok" in late September 2025 as the conspiracy theory continued garnering attention on TikTok and other social media platforms.

For example, on September 21st, 2025, TikToker^[5] @haileeann8 posted a scene from the television show Parks and Rec in which a man warns Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) about how the "world is going to end tomorrow." The caption on the video read, "What it feels like being on #rapturetok." The video gathered over 1 million views and 200,000 likes in a day.

Also on September 21st, TikToker^[6] @jubileedawns posted a video compiling several #RaptureTok posts, showing how people had decided that the Rapture was in September 2025, the advice they were giving to fellow Christians, and the other theories they were harbouring about the end times. The video gathered over 2.5 million views and 200,000 likes in a day.

News about #RaptureTok traveled outside of TikTok in late September 2025 as well, as seen in a September 20th, 2025, post on Twitter / X^[7] by user @kiwehhhhh that read, "true story: the psychiatrist I've been seeing for almost a DECADE went bonkers and joined this exact rapture group out of NOWHERE and PERMANENTLY CLOSED HIS PRACTICE this week." The post gathered over 40,000 likes in a day.
