About
Merrill Howard Kalin was a mentally handicapped chef, who was given his own small-time cable access cooking television program by the Little City Foundation. His cooking show was energetic and made entertaining by his awkward behavior, his loud and slightly bawdy sounding groans, and his many catch phrases and poorly performed impersonations.
Kalin had relations to the Little City Foundation and Merrill was a member of the New Trier Graduates Special Olympics program.
It was discovered through an obituary in the Chicago Tribune , that Merrill Howard Kalin had passed away at the age of 45 on July 2008, due to natural causes. However, it was presumed by many that he had died of salmonella poisoning.
Origin
The original show was produced by the Little City Foundation in the early 90's, while the first appearances on the internet are from 2004. Merrill gained significant attention on 7chan and has been wide spread on video sites in more recent years.
