About

The Strawberry Question also known as the Strawberry Test or Stolen Berries refers to a personality test meant to reveal aspects of your sexuality, personality and relationships by way of a series of questions starting with whether or not you would steal a strawberry from a farmer's field if you were hungry, followed by asking the participant how tall of a fence they'd climb to take the strawberry, how many berries they'd eat, etc. The test originates from the Japanese personality test book Kokology: the Game of Self-Discovery. A variation of the test became popular on TikTok in early 2022 as a sort of prank where girlfriends ask their boyfriends the questions over text then spin the story to be about girls rather than strawberries, implying they're cheating.

Origin

The Stolen Berries quiz first appeared in the Japanese book Kokology: the Game of Self-Discovery.[1] The test, which has been reposted and described by sites including Wordpress[2] and Truth Theory,[3] comprises of the following questions:

On a stroll through the countryside, you come across a field of delicious-looking strawberries. Your stomach starts to rumble, and there’s no one else around. Only a fence stands between you and a free lunch. How high is the fence?

You sneak into the garden and begin to help yourself to the fruit. How many berries do you eat?

Suddenly the farmer whose berries you’re stealing appears out of nowhere and starts yelling at you. What do you say in your own defense?

After all is said and done… How did the berries taste?

And looking back… How did you feel after your berry-stealing adventure was over?

Truth Theory also describes the results for each question on the page, writing:

The height of the fence represents your own level of self control and resistance to sexual temptation. The more enclosed the higher your level of resistance will be.

The number of berries, is the amount of people you believe you can be in love or lust with at one time. So if you are in the double digits, good luck!!!

The way you defended yourself is the way you would respond if you were caught having an affair. What did you say and how can that be used within that context?

The way they tasted and felt is the way you imagine yourself feeling when looking back on a past affair. Was it exciting and sweet? Or was it regretful and bitter?

Ah, I see you stole the strawberry. Guess who secretly likes taking it up the ass, chump.
