Part of a series on Sam Hyde vs. iDubbbz. [View Related Entries]

About

Think It Dream It Do It is a catchphrase spoken by Sam Hyde to iDubbbz as part of the start to the ongoing Sam Hyde vs. iDubbbz drama. The phrase, created by Hyde as a silly form of affirmation, has become synonymous with him, being used online to signal things relating to the figure.

Origin

On January 8th, 2022, YouTuber and content creator Sam Hyde uploaded[1] a video titled "The Truth About iDubbbz" in which he showcased various parts of when iDubbbz had come to visit Hyde, with many thinking it was part of a "Content Cop" video. On the first day, while the two were boxing under an overpass, Sam and his crew began chanting the phrase at iDubbbz (shown below).

Spread

The phrase stayed relatively low in use shortly after the video came out, with not many people making the reference until Creator Clash in which Harley from EpicMealTime was participating after training with Sam Hyde prior to the fight. In his series of vlogs[2] uploaded on June 13th, 2022, showcasing his training and the fight, he titled his last episode "Thought It. Dreamt It. Did It." helping to solidify and spread the phrase online (shown below).

Following the event, the quote saw a sudden increase in usage online as a catchphrase that people would either say to purposely reference Sam Hyde or use as a positive affirmation on social media.

For example, the tweet on July 13th, 2023, by YouTube's official Twitter[3] in which they asked what things people say when looking for a confidence boost, with them replying positively to the catchphrase being used as the answer, unaware of its origin and connotation (shown below).
