Travis Tritt Makeup Photoshop refers to a doctored photograph of country music singer Travis Tritt in which he is wearing makeup. The picture went viral on Twitter in September 2020 after Tritt denounced the photo publicly.

Origin

On September 5th, 2020, country music singer Travis Tritt went viral on Twitter with a tweet about blocking liberal Twitter users that use the #resist hashtag. He wrote, "Per my friend @RealJamesWoods, type #resist in your Twitter search bar. Block at least twenty of these accounts per day. We will soon make them as irrelevant as they have tried to make the rest of us." The tweet received more than 28,000 likes and 12,000 retweets in less than one week (shown below).

The following day, on September 6th, 2020, Twitter^[1] user @NotHoodlum tweeted the earliest known version of the edited photograph. They captioned the image, "Travis Tritt uses Jared Kushner’s Mortician." The tweet received more than 8,000 likes and 1,500 retweets in less than four days (shown below).

The following day, Tritt compared the image to the real, undoctored version. He tweeted,^[2] "Just for clarification, more proof of the dishonesty of the left. Here is the original photo of me next to the doctored version that is being circulated by the left in an attempt to try to humiliate me. Exposing these frauds for the liars they are is so easy." Within two days, the tweet received more than 50,000 likes and 12,000 retweets (shown below, left).

Following the tweet, people began commenting on the post with memes and edits of the photo (examples below, center and right).
