Episode 8 of Lucky Star, "Energetic Despite Not Being Myself", premiered on May 27, 2007. It featured one of the main characters, Tsukasa, poorly playing a recorder in one scene of the show. Sometime in 2008, youtubers began to match this scene up with Tsukasa playing songs from video games and other works of famous in nerd culture. The most viewed video in this meme is Tsukasa play Dr. Wily's theme from Mega Man II:
