The meme was popularized on TikTok in mid-October 2023 and continued to spread throughout November.

Origin

On October 13th, 2023, TikToker[1] @kntn.ii posted a video of a person on a basketball court wearing Vlone as PnB Rock's "Notice Me" plays. The person attempts to get people to notice the Vlone logo on the back of his shirt, notably by sitting right in front of someone with his back as close as possible to them. The video garnered over 1.6 million views in a month (shown below).

Spread

The meme spread over the course of October and November 2023, with the original sound for @kntn.ii's video garnering over 1,100 uses in a month. Some of the most viral videos show other people wearing Vlone, while others show characters from games like Fortnite and Roblox wearing something resembling Vlone apparel.

On October 20th, 2023, TikToker[2] @thatguybenji0 posted a video of kids wearing Vlone and sitting in front of other random kids to show off the logo, captioned, "Y'all think they noticed us?" garnering over 2.2 million views in three weeks (shown below, left). On October 31st, TikToker[3] @majinnhao posted a version of the meme that gained over 1.9 million views in a week (shown below, right).
