"Water, Ice, Salt, Aye", also known by catchphrases "It's Boyle", "A Water Balloon?" and "Dang, That Look Good", refers to a 2018 viral video of two brothers reacting to the 5-Minute Crafts video "Preparing to Party." The video consecutively gained popularity on iFunny, with users referencing the video's multiple catchphrases. In December 2019, the video gained popularity in edits on Instagram.
Origin
Prior to August 19th, 2018, Instagram user kevonarmsrong posted a video of himself and his younger brother (Instagram user litj24_7) reacting to the 5-Minute Crafts video "Preparing to Party." While the original video has since been removed, an August 20th, 2018, YouTube[1] reupload received over 493,200 views in two years (shown below).

In late August 2018, the video was posted to iFunny multiple times, including August 25th, 2018, upload by user otherkin[2] and September 3rd upload by Climax[3] that received over 1,500 smiles and over 36,200 smiles, respectively.
During that period video gained significant popularity in memes on iFunny, with multiple users referencing the catchphrases from the video such as "water, ice, salt, aye," "it's boyle" and "dang, that look good." The earliest such meme was posted by iFunny[4] user otherkin on August 19th, 2018 (shown below, left). An August 25th, 2018, GIF Caption by otherkin[5] received over 1,500 smiles (shown below, center); while a September 1st, 2018, post by ThePootisMan[6] received over 3,900 smiles in two years (shown below, right).
The video maintained moderate popularity on iFunny in the following years. In November 2019, the video regained popularity on the app when on November 19th and November 21st iFunny[7][8] users GutybcfV2 and lawny posted Barnacle Boy Sulfur Vision meme using the "dang, that look good" caption (shown below, left). On November 20th iFunny[9] user JohnnyTesticles posted a video edit based on the mem, gaining over 2,000 smiles (shown below, right).
On November 21st, 2019, Instagram[10] user labrynth.mp4 posted an ironic Demotivational Poster meme that received over 117,500 views (shown below).
Starting in mid-December 2019, the video gained significant popularity in edits on Instagram, with notable examples posted by iwillmakeallthedankmemes,[11] largetrap,[12] stdabbers[13] and other creators.
