On April 27th, 2022, TikToker^[1] @rulatha4th posted a video where he says in a deep voice, "Whatever daddy wants, daddy gets," twice, then says, "whatever daddy wants, that's exactly what daddy gets" and laughs (shown below). The video gained over 3.6 million views in a month.

Spread

The video's original sound became popular over the course of late April and May, inspiring over 3,700 videos in under a month. On April 28th, 2022, TikToker^[3] @nemothuggin posted a skit using the sound as a reference to "the weird couple on the bus," gaining over 900,000 views in three weeks (shown below, left). On May 14th, TikToker^[4] @okcron posted a similar video about walking past the "band kids" in the hallway, gaining over 1.1 million views in six days (shown below, right). On May 19th, Dexerto^[2] published an article on the sound.
