Explanation

Since the dawn of time, man has asked the question, hey what's the deal with that?

This meme seeks to provide an answer to this question.

The Whats The Deal With meme responds with a nuanced pun, deconstructing the original question and providing a whole new level of context and insight. In comedy, this term is called a paraproskidian, and is commonly used in prank phone calls such as "hey, is your refrigerator running?""well, you'd better go catch it."

Obviously, this format doesn't go all the way to telling a full joke. Instead, it just throws out elements of a joke and leaves the reader to assemble the rest.

There is also a plea at the end of the bad joke, asking for something -- this is left for interpreation, but is assumed to be an upvote, like, positive comment feedback, something of that nature. Like a comedian asking the audience to please laugh.

Origin

"What's The Deal With" memes originated on a 4chan thread of last year, in which the OP made an ironic attempt to force a meme. Luckily, the community responded and began joining in with more variations.
