This meme originated on /b/ in the summer or fall of 2007. A white rapper named Kolgate was posting links to his music in various threads and through these links his personal social networking sites were accessed. Resulting in the creation of "WIGGER COMMANDER".

WIGGER COMMANDER was very fond of posting uplifting status updates via myspace and facebook, however he looked like a complete tool. Many of the meme texts are things he actually said on his facebook and myspace pages.

For a few weeks on /b/ Wigger Commander was in every thread, leaving words of advice and inspiration. During this time, Kolgate was bombarded with threats, harassment, fan appreciation and page views. His poplularity sky rocketed as he became "/b/ famous" as he stated on facebook.

Then almost suddenly it all ended, his social sites were offline, he stopped responding in /b/, and was ultimately never heard from again.That is, until 2009 when he resurfaced on both myspace and facebook with a new music project, a crunkcore band believe it or not. It is unknown for sure if he still frequents /b/, but memes and other chan material are posted on his new groups facebook page.

WIGGER COMMANDER is also still making solo music, and on his reverbnation profile he credits /b/ for destroying his rise to the top. This is direct from his biography:

"At one point in early 2008 he was the number 1 independent artist according to myspace.com. He held the slot for a record setting 28 weeks, and would have maintained it longer had his account not been hacked and deleted by anonymous members of the image sharing forum known as 4chan. This event was almost career ending for KOLGATE, he had to essentially start fresh, and after putting in so much work prior, he was tired and did it slowly"
