Yay! / Fluttershy's Cheer is a popular remark form the popular television show: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. It has also been done by other notable characters such as Team Fortress 2 (My Little Fortress 2).

Origin

The phrase first came from Episode 16 of Season 1: "Sonic Rainboom". In the beginning of the episode, Rainbow Dash is teaching Fluttershy how to cheer properly. However, when trying it out, the saying is soft, not requiring up to Rainbow's standards. After trying again repeatedly and one last one with a huge amount of air, it still comes out the same. The scene ends with Rainbow Dash falling backwards and Fluttershy saying: "Too Loud?" confused in the problem of her last cheer.
