While competing in the Fortnite Championship Series last weekend, pro-gamer Cody "Clix" Conrad, 14, was swatted mid-stream at his home.

Dextero reports that the incident was captured on his Twitch channel.

Swatting, the act of reporting a false crime to police in hopes of sending authorities to the victim's home to disrupt their game or, in some cases, just to harass them, has long been a blight on the gaming community.

"Police are here," Clix said during the stream. "Yo, I just got swatted. One second, I gotta go."

Clix responded to the incident on Twitter.

This isn't' the first Fornite-related swatting this year. In August, police came to the door of Fortnite champion Kyle ‘Bugha’ Giersdorf while playing on Twitch. He left the stream for 10 minutes to speak with the police.

While no one was harmed in the incident, swatting is a potentially deadly prank. In December 2017, police shot and killed Andrew Finch after his address reported in a false hostage situation. Call of Duty streamer Tyler Barriss was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the incident.
