Evian Makes The Fyre Festival BJ Guy Its Spokesperson
Klondike famously struck gold when their marketing department put out the slogan "What would you do for a Klondike Bar." Now Evian is cheekily trying to mimic that success with its new slogan, "So good, you'd do anything for it," an advertising campaign starring legendary team player Andy King.
It's been a year since the Netflix documentary on Fyre Festival dropped and cemented King's legacy as a hero who'd do whatever is necessary to help people. King, you'll remember, was the man who walked to Bermuda customs "fully prepared" to trade oral sex for a shipment of bottled water.
King's anecdote was unquestionably the most memorable moment of Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened, kickstarting his year as a meme star. On Friday, Evian rewarded King's team spirit with a job as a spokesperson for their new ad campaign.
“As a long-time Evian fan -- of both the water itself and the brand’s sustainable practices -- I could not be more thrilled!” King wrote in a statement.
It just goes to show that a positive attitude and a willingness to go a little out of one's comfort zone can do wonders for one's professional career.
