The long-awaited 10th album from Kanye West, titled Donda after his late mother, has once again failed to drop on time. West held a listening party for the album last night at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta to over 40,000 attendees, making the release seem certain to many fans. However, when the clock struck midnight, the album never came. At the time of writing, it has still yet to release.

The album was first set to drop almost exactly a year ago on July 24th, 2020, but never did despite a number of posts teasing it before and after the date, including a preview of the album cover a day after it failed to release.

Of course, this is nothing new for West, and many of his fans seemed to expect the delay. The rapper's previous album, Jesus Is King, was originally set to release in 2018 but ended up being delayed a number of times before finally dropping in October 2019. After seeing that Donda hadn't dropped, West's biggest fans quickly took to social media to tell everyone how unsurprised they were. Others shared jokes and frustration about the failure to drop, holding out hope for a release at some point in the day.

Through all these mixed reactions, hope is not lost. Earlier today, Rap TV put out a tweet showing off a billboard advertising Donda over the Toronto Eaton Center. Similarly, YouTube uploads of the listening party have been getting claimed and taken down by the UMG music group. Could this mean the album is still coming out today? All Kanye fans can do at this point is pray.
