Madonna Appears On Terri Joe TikTok Livestream, In Important Step For Gen X/Gen Z Relations

International pop star Madonna went on a livestream early Thursday morning with Terri Joe, one of several personalities/characters belonging to TikToker psyiconic.

Terri Joe is a Christian character with a heavy Southern accent who has a complicated relationship with what she calls the “homaseggyuhs.” Along with Jeorgia Peach, an influencer, she is one of Psyiconic’s most frequently featured characters. Terri Joe is from the town of Bon Temps, Louisiana, is in a wheelchair, and believes in Jesus.

Madonna was arguably the biggest pop star in the world in the 1980s and 1990s, but has since tried to pivot towards TikTok, becoming a subject of the Madonna On My For You Page meme. She recently went viral for a "coming out" TikTok, even though she's been believed to be bisexual for decades.

Psyiconic seems to be part of a broader genre of TikToks where the same person plays several different characters -- ranging from comedy bits like the characters of kallmekris to users who claim to have Dissociative Identity Disorder, such as the Wonderland System. Madonna and Terri Joe talked about religion and materialism, as well as their upbringings and the differences between generations. Madonna seemed to not understand that she was talking to Terri Joe, a fictional character, and forgot her name, leading Terri Joe to mock her as old and forgetful. Madonna is 64.
