NASCAR racer Brandon Brown scored a win last weekend at Talladega, but non-NASCAR fans' attention has been drawn to his post-race interview thanks to a reporter who seemed to intentionally mishear a profane chant coming from fans as something much more wholesome and supportive.
While Brandon Brown was celebrating his win in an interview with NBC reporter Kelli Stavast, the audio was overtaken by a clear "F--- Joe Biden!" chant coming from the crowd. Recently, the chant has become a regular occurrence at sporting events in red-leaning states. Biden was not in attendance at Talledega Saturday.
Stavast, either hard of hearing or extremely quick on her feet, tried to spin the situation by claiming the crowd was chanting "Let's go Brandon!" in celebration of Brown's victory.

It's unclear whether Stavast actually thought the crowd was chanting "Let's Go Brandon!" or trying to divert attention away from the chant in the most politically correct way possible.
Despite Stavast's attempt to diffuse the situation, inadvertently created a new rallying cry for the American right, who took to signing their complaints about Biden with "Let's Go Brandon!"
The internet outages they predicted would happen under Trump are happening as we speak. Let’s Go Brandon.

Brown, seemingly aware of the part he played in the developing meme, tweeted "Let's Go Brandon" himself, thought it is unclear if he is using it to actually cheer on himself or using it in the way Republicans on Twitter are using it.
