One Week After Joking About Not Needing To Worry About Music On YouTube Gaming Ludwig Gets Banned On YouTube Gaming For Playing Music
One week ago, Ludwig Ahgren made the huge jump from Twitch to YouTube Gaming. In his video announcing the switch, he made a quick quip about how he wouldn't have to worry about playing music on YouTube. On his third day streaming on the platform, he was banned for playing music.
As he explains in the above video, Ludwig was going through 50 classic YouTube videos to discover the so-called "greatest YouTube video of all time," when a few seconds of "Baby Shark" played, resulting in his stream cutting off and a swift ban from the platform.
"I am pretty sure the corporate overlords who own Baby Shark have an iron fist on YouTube, and so they took me down," Ahgren said in response. "It is kind of crazy that in the first four days on YouTube I got banned and in the first four years on Twitch I never got banned but growing pains, we’re getting through it."
Fans of Ludwig were quick to note the irony of Ludwig getting instantly banned for music after he took a potshot at Twitch.
Ludwig said YouTube wouldn't ban him so soon after joining them and YouTube said "bet".

It seems the lesson didn't stick, however, as Ludwig was again banned yesterday for a similar offense. This time, he was watching a Kurzgesagt video about methane production.
The bans were both quickly lifted, but they could spell trouble for the streamer in the future, as on Twitch, much of his content was reaction-based. It seems the pains of the marriage between the high-profile streamer and one of the largest video platforms online could sour quickly if such bans continue.
