President Donald Trump returned to the campaign trail over the weekend, just a week after being discharged from Walter Reed Medical Center for COVID-19, and held a rally in perennial swing state Florida, where polls say he's trailing Joe Biden by a few points. If anyone in attendance was worried about the President possibly still being contagious with the deadly illness that has claimed over 210,000 American lives and turned 2020 into the weirdest year in memory, he assured rally-goers that he was perfectly fine. In fact, were it only possible, he would kiss every person in attendance.

"They say I’m immune. I feel so powerful ," he said. "I’ll kiss the guys and the beautiful women."

The clip was only one part of a bizarrely surreal event that ended with Trump doing a very Twin Peaks-dwarf-like dance to the "YMCA."

The clips disturbed and amused some Twitter users, who speculated his statements made at the rally may be a result of a side effect for medications he's taking. The White House and the administration have been cagey on the medications Trump is currently taking, but we do know that while he was at Walter Reed he was treated with Dexamethasone, a corticosteroid whose side effects include mania and psychosis.

The rally, and the online reaction to it, are likely only a taste of what is to come with only 21 days until election day.
