Republican Congressman-Elect George Santos Accidentally Creates Seinfeld Bit By Stating He's Not Jewish, He's Jew-Ish
While Republican Congressman-Elect was on the campaign trail, discussions about his family, including his Grandmother and her Jewish origins, were frequently brought up. Now, however, it seems an absolutely unseen wacky wrench was thrown into the story, as he recently announced that he is not in-fact Jewish, but rather Jew-ish, with everything in-between being left up to ambiguity. This, naturally, stirred the pot online with many reacting to this statement negatively, either accusing him of lying or just expressing outright confusion at how this even occurred.
Professional liar George Santos -- who said oops he meant to say he was Jew-ish, NOT Jewish, and lied about being the grandson of Holocaust survivors -- beat Robert Zimmerman who’s actually Jewish

If a politician can survive “I didn’t say I was Jewish, I said I was Jew-ish” then this country doesn’t stand a chance.

“I never claimed to be Jewish,” Santos said. “I said I was ‘Jew-ish.’”

Imagine being George Santos’ chief of staff and helping him workshop the “Jew-ish” line

However, others took the line and the circumstances surrounding it, and rolled with it, with the vast majority of non-angry reactions being to turn it into a Seinfeld bit, as is usually common with of social media to try and turn things into Modern Seinfeld jokes. The set-up being slightly different between the accounts, but all of them ending on the same punchline, being delivered by either George or Kramer. Other jokes using the Jew-ish line reference the Jewish Space Laser or Jay-Z's way of speaking.
KRAMER: I never said I was Jewish, Jerry
JERRY: Then what did you say?!
KRAMER: I said I was Jew-ish pop they forgot the hyphen

A third way to process the trending Jew-Ish topic emerged as well, with many thinking it was actually an announcement for a new television show in a similar vein to long-running popular sitcom Blackish, only featuring a Jewish family. As of reporting, there's been no announcement that Jewish as a show might be made in the future or is currently in production.
