Shooting At Drake's House Intensifies Scrutiny Of Kendrick Lamar Feud
Last night, a shooting occurred at Drake's Toronto home, the same one featured on Kendrick Lamar's single cover for the Drake-focused diss track "Not Like Us," intensifying scrutiny of the pair's viral rap feud that turned ugly over the weekend.
According to reports, the shooting occurred at roughly 2 in the morning, and the victim was a security guard who was shot in a drive-by attack. He was rushed to the hospital and immediately underwent surgery. His condition is currently still unknown.
As of the time of writing, there is no evidence connecting the shooting to Kendrick Lamar. However, social media has run rampant with conspiracies attempting to explain the shooting, with some attributing the incident to Lamar's crew and others to Drake's.
Others have connected it to a shooting that occurred one week ago when a security guard for the co-manager of The Weeknd (Cash XO) was shot in a similar incident.
With the motive and perpetrator of the attack unidentified, social media has fallen into multiple camps, with some trying to joke about their interpretation of the shooting and others cautioning against spreading unproven narratives.
There had previously been worry among many that the Kendrick and Drake beef could escalate to violence with the serious allegations the pair had levied at each other, with Drake accusing Kendrick of spousal abuse and Kendrick accusing Drake of sexual attraction to minors.
