Sonic-themed Showcase 'Sonic Central' Shows Off Very Little, To The Annoyance Of Many Fans

Sega is in a bit of a rough patch when it comes to teasing its upcoming Sonic content. After a gameplay trailer for Sonic Frontiers was brutally roasted by many fans for making the upcoming open-world Sonic game look boring last week, the company is getting roasted anew after yesterday's "Sonic Central" presentation.
The second annual "Sonic Central" presentation, an event akin to the periodic Nintendo Direct streams for franchises like Pokémon, teased an animated prologue for Sonic Frontiers featuring Knuckles and offered an extremely brief look at Shadow appearing in Sonic Prime, an upcoming 3D show for Netflix.
These were the main headliners of the event, as the rest of the "Central" was dedicated to releasing a new trailer (with no new information) about Sonic Origins, announcing that the Sonic 2 film was coming to Blu-ray and showing off other Sonic miscellanea.
The still image of Knuckles in an upcoming Frontiers animation – essentially a teaser for a teaser – and brief look at Shadow did little to sate Sonic fans who had tuned in to yesterday's presentation hoping for any substantial information, or perhaps a clip from Frontiers that made it look exciting or fun.

Despite a bevy of new content on the horizon, it seems Sega is doing little to get Sonic fans excited judging from many early reactions so far.
