Pop music artist and performer Baby Storme recently went into a Target with several dancers to recreate the dance to her newest single "This City Is a Graveyard." When the dancing started, however, a Target employee promptly called the cops over possible safety concerns, shutting down the dance video shortly after.

Then, once a dancer appears to realize the group's size meant they couldn't be reasonably arrested, the dancing continued as scheduled until they reached the conclusion of their routine.

The viral video was later uploaded to social media, with the police's attempted intervention added and Baby Storme claiming that the Target employee was racist for calling the police to stop the dancing.

While many displays of racism are usually given a swift condemnation and rousing support for the victim on social media, a large amount of X users were sure that what they saw wasn't actually racism, but rather employees annoyed over the flash mob and not wanting to deal with the potential safety issues.

While discussions on the proper place and time for flash mob dancing were taking place, some made comparisons to another viral video moment as memes and reactions flooded social media.

In the clip, a group of women was dancing outside of a Publix when an elderly man in a mobility shopping cart shouted at them to get out of the way so he could continue to drive past them to the parking lot.

At the same time, Baby Storme continued with her idea and uploaded her group doing the dance as a flash mob outside in a public space, leading to people calling her out for purposely doing it in a Target to cause a scene.

Since the video spread, a community note on X was also added by users, which stated, "There is no evidence that the employee is racist. Target has a policy that shopping should be distraction-free. From the video, it would appear that the group is filming and dancing (soliciting attention), which is against Target policy."
