Tumblr Names Post Of The Year And It's All About Cats

Cats reign supreme on the Internet. At least, if Tumblr's post of the year is to be believed.

As part of their 2020 year in review, Tumblr Fandometrics announced the most reblogged post of the year last Friday. An epic repost, comprised of tweets, webcomics and jokes, features numerous perspectives and all of them are feline. The post features 10 separate jokes about the eating habits and demanding nature of the cat. The post received more than 573,000 notes.

Fandometrics didn't stop there. In their top 20 of 2020, the site shared the biggest fandoms of the year. The top five consisted of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Steven Universe, wtFOCK, BTS and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. They also named the 100 ships of the year, which featured the top five: Reylo (Rey and Kylo Ren from the Star Wars sequel trilogy), Catradora (Catra and Adora from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power), Reddie (Richie Tozier & Eddie Kaspbrak from It), Geraskier (Geralt of Rivia and Jaskier from The Witcher) and Ineffable Husbands (Aziraphale and Crowley from Good Omens).
