unruly airline passenger

It's been somewhat of a banner month for airplane passengers getting duct-taped to their seats, and this morning a video went viral on Twitter showing the crew of a Frontier Airlines flight duct-taping a passenger, Max Berry, to his seat after groping two flight attendants and taking a swing at a third.

According to ABC reporter Sam Sweeney, the 22-year-old man screamed about how his parents were "worth $2 million" before he was taped. He was arrested after the flight and the crew was suspended for not following proper restraining protocol.

According to The Daily Beast, the arrest report explains, "Berry spilled a drink on himself, then went to the lavatory to change. He emerged 'shirtless,' (and) Berry proceeded to wander the aisles for 15 minutes before allegedly molesting the two crew members."

As with many public freakout videos, the reactions tended to mock the offending freakout-er (Berry), praise the crew for their inventive solution, and criticize Frontier for suspending the crew.

It is possible that the suspension of the crew members was not a disciplinary measure but rather a procedural one. Some users pointed out that Frontier stated that it is "required" that the crew be "relieved of flying duties" when such an incident takes place. This still didn't sit right with Twitter users who saw the crew as heroes.
