YouTuber Apetor, King Of Ice Swimming And Vodka Drinking, Has Died Aged 57
Norwegian YouTuber Tor "Apetor" Eckhoff, known for his weird but wholesome winter swimming videos, has died after falling under ice while filming a video for his channel, just five days after celebrating his 57th birthday.
Apetor started uploading videos in 2006 and caught massive success with his unique style in the mid-2010s. In his videos, Apetor would often skate and swim in ice-cold water, always stripped down to his trunks, all while consuming copious amounts of his favorite Vikingfjord vodka.
Apetor had over 1.2 million subscribers on YouTube, with his most popular upload viewed over 94 million times. The sad news of Apetor's death arrived just five days since he posted his last video, titled "I am Not Dead, I am 57 today."
The tributes from all around the web have been pouring in for the beloved YouTuber as people mourn his death.
Rest in Peace Apetor, Norwegian YouTube legend that sadly passed away earlier today. He died doing what he loved, producing his wacky and nonsensical videos that never fail to put a smile on one's face. Gone but never forgotten! ♥️💙 pic.twitter.com/wqVoR5dMgz

At first I was sad that Apetor died of what I assumed was a battle with cancer.
Then I found out he died walking across a frozen river. Which is exactly how he’d want to die. Rest ez you absolute maniac.— GENERAL SAM (@GeneralSamsSec) November 29, 2021
Skål, you wholesome maniac.
