Congress will begin hearings on the controversial Protect IP Act and Stop Online Piracy Act today, which have been dubbed the "Internet Blacklist Bill" for their potentially devastating impact on free speech and creativity.

Occupy Wall Street protesters were evicted from Zuccotti Park early this morning. Over 200 people were arrested as lawyers for the movement fought to get a court order to allow them back into the park. This temporary restraining order has not been extended.
