Pokémon Fans Are Reeling From The Lore Uncovered In The Game Freak Gigaleak; And It's Not All Pretty

Game Freak Pokémon GigaLeaks refers to an October 12th, 2024 data leak from Pokémon developer Game Freak, supposedly revealing information about Nintendo's next-gen console, an unannounced 10th generation Pokémon game, as well as Pokémon Legends Z-A. The leaks were reportedly first shared on a private Discord server before Pokémon enthusiasts on X and 4chan's /vp/ board began discussing the information in the leaks in detail. Game Freak subsequently confirmed the news later on October 12th. The leak reportedly indicated the name of the Game Freak employee responsible, with tech enthusiasts speculating that he may have been a victim of a phishing scam. Notable memes that emerged from this leak include jokes about Typhlosion, and memes about Skyla.
