Cause their loss of sales isn't due very much to pirates- it is because digital distribution of songs (through perfectly legal sources) have stopped them from inflating their products and prices with crap.
You know what I mean (if you lived in the 90's or before)- an album had one good song, and the rest was crap, and you only bought it for that one good song.
Way before, you could buy singles of that song. But then they moved more towards albums, where they can charge you for a dozen songs, but 11 of them were crapped out in the same week, or they are remixes. Which made them money and allowed musicians to get by without as much effort, but gave customers less actual product.
But with services like itunes, you can just buy that one good song. And now musicians have to be consistently good for us to buy anything from them.
For Ubisoft though, it's more because they have a shit DRM system in Uplay, which honestly just punishes the people who actually bought the software rather than prevent piracy. It's getting bad enough that people would actually pirate their stuff out of spite just because of their arrogance.
