Most people who hate Takumi have only played Conquest(as far as I know) where he is potrayed as persistent jerk(also that one scene in chapter 13 conquest).

If you check out Birthright and his supports, you will see that this guy treats people who actually deserve his trust appropriately with kindness(see Oboro support for example and he is deeply regretful for his actions and behaviour).

He clearly got some emotional issues but he feels far more like real person to me who actually has common sense(distrustful) and personality flaws that are relateable.

This guy really doesn’t deserve all the hate he gets but than again that’s my opinion. (As a unit he wrecks everything though.)
