And on the surface this is true; they're both first person open world RPGs set in the fallout universe, And they both use the same engine and even assets But to me, the difference between the two is like comparing the film Chinatown to Transformers 3 These two games are completely separated in terms of quality and world building. Something that is overlooked by Joey who doesn't care about any of that boring STORY stuff, what is this, a book? He just wants to kill people and watch explosions. Where in fallout 3 you had "raiders" randomly sprinkled around, NV had 4 raider clans all fighting for control of different areas all with different stories and motives that you can involve yourself in and determine the outcome But the absolute final nail in the coffin for me was how Bethesda decided t tcon the original games with the recent announcement of 4 and have stated the original fallout bible by Avellone is no longer canon(including NV it seems, they've been acting like it s in terms of lore.
