The idea is that our collective political interests have been hijacked by other corporate ones and the interests of the "well established" who have allowed the corporate interests to take over.

The apparent appeal of Trump (Or Sanders and Bernie-or-Bust) is rebellion against this trend. Support for Trump has defied the Republican establishment, and supposedly he isn't beholden to the corporations. Under this framework, any other choice world be a sort of compliance with "establishment/corporate/corrupt" interests, so a vote for Trump is a vote against the establishment.

Its a seductive idea, I think. But its a rather horribly self-destructive decision that I can't endorse. Revolutions are pointless when the thing you're fighting for ends up worst off than it started. I'd rather see Clinton in office.

You have to be tripping mad balls to, in the grand scheme of things, seriously stand by the idea that competence-- however marred by self-serving interest-- is somehow less valuable than not being incompetent.
