I call this the Skyward Sword Effect.

At first, everybody either liked or only slightly disliked SS, but the latter usually still respected it for trying to innovate.

Then Egoraptor expressed his opinion on the game, saying that he hated it and it' the worst official Zelda game.

Cue everyone changing their opinions to the extremely negative, because Arin-senpai can never be wrong. (Which is ironic, because most of the time, the Internet never fails to call out Arin on his bullshit, but for this one instance, they all went full-Danny and just said "Totally!")
