My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Starlight's Birthday

This argument really pisses me off.
Why would she be a Mary Sue? Can’t anyone else be at the same level of Twilight, or even more skilled at magic, for that matter? Is Twilight the only one allowed to be GREAT at magic?

You DO realize that making Twilight the only OP character around actually makes Twilight the Mary Sue, right?

“B-but muh alicorn stat-” they’re nothing more than a pair of wings. NO ONE ever said that becoming an alicorn istantly makes you stronger than you were before. This argument needs to STOP.

Sunburst was a ghost this entire time.

Still waiting for them to delve a bit more into Starlight being a bigger magical prodigy than Twilight too… It's just been friendship lessons with those two so far.
