"Anime Was a Mistake" - ...because it's tumblr?

You know, in honesty, I do think that anime in recent years has been kinda stagnant creatively. It's not completely their fault-- anime is a tight industry and sameness sells-- but it is noticeable.

I think it's been getting better the past year or two, but even so, anime has a lot of over-troped/cliche'd examples.

It's been adjusted for the Internet Age, where people are angrier and more eager to shit on things.
