dailyjonajba For all the valid hate towards the Phantom Blood movie, there is one thing that I appreciate about it: Jonathan and Dio are drawn with builds that clearly differ from one another. One thing that bother's me about Araki's artwork is that he has a tendency to draw with a "same body syndrome". No matter the character, they're often drawn with the same bodies (which obviously went from beefy muscleheads to runway fashion model over the years). That's why he draws earlier characters so small today, even despite characters stating that they're very large. Same body syndrome And that's why I love that, in the Phantom Blood film, Dio is depicted as being more slim and lean, but still muscular, while Jonathan is a meat truck like always. Also the extra as hell space pirate outfit Dio wears. That's good, too.
