It was just a joke, really. At this point, I sorta stopped caring who would win anime of the year, since Part 5 is coming no matter what, but I found it somewhat amusing that another award went to Yuri on Ice.

Jojo will be alright, mainly because unlike something like Undertale, the manga is still going well and the anime, with all due respect, has a whole lot more memorable scenes than both other animes and Undertale. And really, I think that animes are starting to become sort of a lame duck as of late, mainly since a lot of them are "kawaii desu" moe types, super bland slice of light combined with action, or just pure tit shit without any filter. Then again, I do like Boku no Hero Academia and Mob Psycho 100, which could be considered to be a bland slice-o-life/action anime, but both of them actually has characters I react to when they do their business and they play around with their respective scenarios pretty well. Undertale, it's a good game with some good moments and admittedly awesome music, but it's for sure an overrated game.
