This is a pose I've seen in various places. In addition to this image, I recall an image of Amy Rose lying like this (and I have it saved somewhere, though I can't remember who drew it or where to find it online), and then there's the cover of the Gloria Estefan album "Greatest Hits Vol. II", which is something of an archetypical example. So I wouldn't be surprised if there's a technical term for this pose – I just have no idea what that term is…
