Greg Heffley is calling out for help and no one will answer him. I honestly felt very emotional while reading this. This is from the perspective of a helpless boy in middle school. Not justifying what Greg does to his peers and family, but if you think about it, Greg gets almost no say in his life from a controlling mother, Greg's Dad was said to throw stuff at Greg, Rodrick picked on him for years, Manny gets away with everything, and Greg's only friend has a lot Greg doesn't have, so it's natural he's jealous of him. Greg probably just wants recognition and he thinks fame will give him the attention he wants. And yeah Greg is a d--- to Rowley, but that may be because Greg hasn't realized Rowley has been there for him all this time, and due to him being between 11-15 in the series means he's emotionally immature still. As for the messed up chronological order of the books, it might just Greg recalling various parts of his life and writing it out of place. And him being a pathological liar is common in kids desperate for attention; I'm still working to get over the habit that I used to have. I still make white lies, but I regret each one, and I'm trying to get over it. Also many middle schoolers won't feel remorse because they're immature. If Greg was in college, then yeah, he'd totally be a sociopath, but right now, it's more likely he still haven't figured life out. Show less 56

Tuesday This idiot kicked me today, and I flew into a f------ knife which was laying at the street. whichoand Wiswissen OOPS! Plainville hospital www TRIP I then spend 2 weeks at a hospital AND MY F------ FACE DISAPPEARED because the hospital gave me some bit too strong medicine.
