As a kid the fact that Ed was the strongest of all went over my head. Used to think it was Rolf, only after growing up a little and comparing equivalent feats of strength, like tree uprooting (Rolf can uproot a tree when enraged and with difficulty, Ed can do it almost effortlessly), only then it dawned on me that his bloodline is the fucking strong.
