I remember that comic. I also remember how Alan Moore retconned Incrediboy into a supervillain in the 1980s… Man, that sure divided the fandom.

I honestly thought it was poetic irony.
Edna Mode mentioned in an earlier issue about the problems with capes, and why she no longer uses them in her designs. Syndrome, wanting to be a super, decided to go for the cape, as he wasn't aware of the many design flaws.
